Denmark has regularly been cited as the happiest country in the world, and in the Danish education system teaching empathy is considered to be just as important as maths and literature. Jessica Alexander interviewed many Danish teachers and students while researching her book, The Danish Way of Parenting; What the Happiest People in the World Know About Raising Confident, Capable Kids on her way to discovering that empathy is key.
